- The Independent Artists Cooperative is an artist-run, not-for-profit co-operative established in 2002 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Our mandate is to provide workspace and resources to our independent artist members. In collaboration with The Black Bag Media Collective, the co-op operates a multi-purpose, shared studio space and media lab in downtown St. John's. Every year team up with The Black Bag Collective and many other partners to present the Annual Rock Can Roll Independent Music and Media Festival.
